Alhaji Isyaku Umar Tofa OON, (Makaman Bichi), was honoured and conferred with the prestigious title of Philanthropy of the Year by the National Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) at the National SWAN Full Council Meeting and it was presented by HE Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, who was represented by Commissioner of Sports and Youth Development Hon. Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwanso and NFF President, who was also represented by the Director in charge of Football Associations in NFF Dr.Ali Abubakar Muhammad. The event, held on thursday 2nd May 2024 at the luxurious Global Luxury and Suites in Kano State, recognized Alhaji Isyaku Umar Tofa’s outstanding contributions to sports development and youth empowerment in the state and the nation at large.

For over three decades, Alhaji Isyaku Umar Tofa has been a beacon of support for sporting activities in Kano State and Nigeria as a whole. His dedication to nurturing young talents and fostering a culture of sportsmanship has not only produced exceptional athletes but has also empowered numerous youths to become esteemed ambassadors and self-reliant individuals through the avenue of sports.

The SWAN Full Council Meeting, where Alhaji Isyaku Umar Tofa was recognized, represents the highest level of decision-making within the association.
